The songwriters circle will be returning to Roadside Willie's Smokehouse and Bar December 20th. The songwriters circle takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. I will host two guests each month. We are songwriters, musicians and performers in Nova Scotia.

This month I share the stage with Chris and Beth Terry and Pat Nicholson (www.patnicholson.net).

A big thank you to all who came out for the songwriters circle tonight. It was great to have such an appreciative audience. Thank you to the brave who watched what they could online, and apologies for the intermittent signal. It was nice to know that someone was watching "out there"

Circle Tomorrow!

Hi faithful followers! Tomorrow, Tuesday, 15th November is the third songwriters circle for this season. It starts at 7pm and goes till 9pm at Roadside Willies on Jenifer Drive in Bible Hill, NS. Next Songwriters Circle, Tuesday the 18th

Hi everyone, the next songwriters circle is on Tuesday the 18th October, 7-9 pm. Joining me will be Dan Doiron and Rock Johnson. I'm delighted to have both these talented song writers join me at Roadside Willie's in Bible Hill to share our stories and songs with you. Both Dan and Rock have recently released CD's and will have them available for purchase. Support your local talent.

To anyone who cannot come out to attend in person I'll be trying to live-stream the show online using ustream.com. Scroll to the bottom to see the live stream. Hopefully it will be up and running a few minutes before showtime. If you do watch the live stream I'd love to get your feedback on the quality of the stream. It would be nice to know who's listenning in.

The Songwriters Circle Returns to Roadside Willies

I am happy to announce that the songwriters circle will be returning to Roadside Willie's Smokehouse and Bar this September. The songwriters circle takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. I will host two guests each month. We are songwriters, musicians and performers in Nova Scotia.


In September I'll be bringing back two of my favourite local songwriters, Tim Bowers and Ben Edwards.

Show is on Tuesday September 20, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Welcome to "thesongwriters.ca"

They are, in every community, in every province, state and country, people who not only play a musical instrument but who also create their own original music. They range in skill from absolute beginner to "oh my god, I'm going to burn my guitar" exceptionally good.

I have always been fascinated by these people and their songs. I love to hear the story of their creation and the genesis of their inspiration. If you share this interest or passion you might enjoy hearing and seeing the songs performed live by those who brought them into the world. This is why I started the songwriters circle in my home town last year. I hope you'll join us either in person or live via the web as we explore the songwriters.
